Coaching for job market access

Starting April 2021, AfricaWorks will support 12 DAAD scholarship holders in Germany. The program has been specifically designed for and adapted to the needs of African students with various academic backgrounds ranging from urban planning to agricultural economics.

The participating scholars will be coached in order to strategically use their time while in Germany during their studies. This way, they will be enabled to directly enter the labor market after successful graduation from their German university.

The participants of the coaching program come from Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco, Rwanda and Tunisia. The program is rounded off with an attractive matching offer between graduates and participating companies.

AfricaWorks will be implementing the coaching program on behalf of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which is part of the special initiative “Training and Employment” of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
